A makerspace is a place where students can gather to create, invent, tinker, explore and discover using a variety of tools and materials.

Makerspaces are community centers with tools. Their purpose is to enable community members to design, prototype and create manufactured works that wouldn’t be possible to create with the resources available to individuals working alone.
